This medication is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).

It can cause Fainting, symptoms of a high potassium blood level (such as muscle weakness, slow/irregular heartbeat).

It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug.

Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems.

This medication may increase your potassium levels. Before using potassium supplements or salt substitutes that contain potassium, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: liver disease, severe loss of body water and minerals (dehydration)

Before having surgery, tell your doctor or dentist about all the products you use (including prescription drugs, nonprescription drugs, and herbal products).

Please consult your doctor when taking this medicine if you are pregnant.

It can interact with Aliskiren, lithium, drugs that may increase the level of potassium in the blood (such as ACE inhibitors including benazepril/lisinopril, birth control pills containing drospirenone).
