It is used as an herbal remedy to treat many conditions. It may be best known as a treatment for dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and fatigue. Other conditions it's used to treat are: anxiety and depression.

Headache, dizziness, heart palpitations, and GI and skin reactions

It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug.

Avoid prior to surgery: may cause bleeding.

It might make bleeding disorders worse. If you have a bleeding disorder, don't use ginkgo.

If you have diabetes, monitor your blood sugar closely.

It might interfere with getting pregnant. Discuss your use of ginkgo with your healthcare provider if you are trying to get pregnant.

Please consult your doctor when taking this medicine if you are pregnant.

Drugs such as ibuprofen, Antiplatelet, warfarin, alprazolam, buspirone and fluoxetine may interact with this drug.
