It is used to treat depression, panic attacks, obsessive compulsive disorder, a certain eating disorder (bulimia), and a severe form of premenstrual syndrome (premenstrual dysphoric disorder).

Tachycardia or increase in the heart rate is observed in some individuals. One may feel palpitations in the chest, Fatigue, Drowsiness, Stomach upsets, vomiting sensations, Problems in initiating sleep.

Hypersensitivity to drug,renally compromised patients, patients with cardiac insufficiency, extreme restlessness or agitation.

This drug is habit forming (addictive) with significant withdrawal symptoms; stopping it must be done in a step-wise fashion under a doctor’s supervision.

This drug is not intended for long-term treatment; it is only used only for a short term under the supervision of a specialist doctor

Don’t stop taking the drug without informing your doctor, you will need his/her help in changing to other alternatives.

If any side effects of the medication occur, or you get worsening of symptoms or suicidal thoughts, report to your doctor immediately.

Drugs such as Clpoidogrel, Ansaid, Ketorolac may interact with this drug.
